SAMA 2024 Annual General Meeting & Administrator Training Session
Delegates from Saskatchewan municipal governments and stakeholder groups gathered in the Terrace, World Trade Centre at Saskatoon at Prairieland on April 10, 2024 for SAMA's Annual General Meeting. The day's agenda included progress reports from the CEO and the Board of Directors, the Assessment Services Division update, an Assessment Governance/Policy update, as well as a review of SAMA's 2023 Audited Financial Statements and Financial Update. Delegates also heard updates from the Cities of Regina, Saskatoon, Prince Albert and Swift Current on assessment trends in their jurisdictions.
Information about the upcoming 2025 Revaluation was presented through two plenary sessions "Important Information in your 2025 Preliminary Values Package" and "2025 Revaluation - Preliminary Value Trends".
SAMA also offered a half-day training session for municipal administrators on April 9. The session provided training on the upcoming upgrades to MySAMA which will include the ability to submit assessment returns to SAMA electronically, as well as guidance on how to make the best use of the 2025 Revaluation Preliminary Value Packages.
